HYNES, Alice Eileen (nee McMahon)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in her 96th year. Alice was born on May 3, 1920 in Peterborough to William and Theresa (Crowley) McMahon. She was the beloved wife of the late Bert Hynes (d. Jan. 14, 1982), and wonderful mother to Sandra Cameron (Richard); Jane MacKay (John), (d. Gary Cinnamon); Doug (Patricia) of Medicino, CA; Ken; Susan McKenzie (Keith); Dan (Lynda) of Calgary; Lori Perks (Larry); and Christine Campbell (Craig Kwongsee). Cherished "Nanny" of 16 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of the McMahon family, predeceased by her sisters Mary and Della, and brothers Joseph, Michael, Hector, Jack, James, and Walter. Survived by her sister-in-law Doreen Hynes, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all her family. We would like to thank the staff of Fairhaven 4th Floor Riverside West for all their compassionate care of Mom and their kindness shown to her and our family.
