SHEEHAN, Bernard Francis

Peacefully at PRHC, Palliative Care with family at his side on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Leona Frances (Keogan) Sheehan. Cherished father of Barb (Rob), Terry (Hilarie) and Pat (Mary). Loving grandfather of Kayla (Pete), Tyler, Sophie, Evan, Charlie and Lexeigh. Dear friend of Dianne Tobey.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Adeline (Torpey) Sheehan, and stepmother Stella (Payment), brothers Gus and Carl (Eileen), sisters Mary (Harvey), and Marg (Joe), sisters-in-law Mary and Anne and brother-in-law Dave. Survived by his siblings Gerard (Pat), Roseanne, Jim, Lenore and Julie (Barry), sisters-in-law Ella, Helen (Graham), and Linda, and many nieces and nephews as well as many great friends.

He had a strong work ethic and worked for many years at National Grocers. He had a great love for sports, both playing and coaching, was the biggest cheerleader to his kids and grandkids and a devoted fan of the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Blue Jays. He loved to spend time with family and friends, share stories and jokes and play euchre with "the guys". He will be missed for his great sense of humour, quick wit and his deep love for his family.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 26th from 1-4 p.m. at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South, Peterborough. Funeral Mass on Monday, May 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. with reception following at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH, 1830 Keene Road, Otonabee. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Douro at 2:30 p.m. following the reception.
