O'BRIEN, Berniece Alfreda (nee Johnston)

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, March 12, 2017 in her 83rd year.  Beloved wife of the late Francis Collins (Frank) O'Brien d. March 11, 2011.  Loving mother of Earlene Tucker (Steve) of Ennismore, Billy O'Brien (Christine) of Otonabee, Dale O'Brien of Peterborough, Elaine Hilker (Kent) of Halls Glen, and James of Peterborough; pre-deceased by daughter Charlene O'Brien d. 1956. Grandma will always have a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren David Tucker (Tanya), Katie Tucker (Corey Garrett), Fred O'Brien, Krystal Curtin (Josh), Clayton and Madison Hilker and Charlene O'Brien. Berniece was fondly known as Great Momma Oddie to her great grandchildren Ryan, Cole and Jillian Tucker.  Dear sister of Beatrice Tucker (Gerald) of Apsley, Floris Wilson (late Jim) of Lindsay, Vera McMillan (Roy) of Guelph, Morley Johnston of Buckhorn and Jack Johnston (Doris) of Paudash Lake. Dear sister-in-law of Gail Johnston, Bill Anderson, Dolly Kylie, Bob O'Brien (Ruth) and Vernie O'Brien. Aunt Berniece is survived by many nieces and nephews who were very special to her. Predeceased by her parents Jack Johnston and Gladys Currie, siblings Bessie Anderson, Eleanor Lean (late Doug), Audrey Leether and Bill Johnston, also predeceased by Jean Tanner (late Victor), Alice Harvey (late Earl) and Elmer Johnston.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Funeral Mass in ST.
