WILSON, Brenda Jean

Passed away peacefully at Springdale Country Manor on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in her 73rd year.

Brenda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was fiercely independent and hardworking, qualities that shone through in every aspect of her life—including as the proud owner of her own cab business. Brenda was known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family. She was not just a mother but a guiding light to her children Kimberley Hawkins, Robert Hawkins, and Patricia Welch (Lisa), as well as her grandson/son Brent Kennedy, whom she lovingly raised from the age of three.

She was a cherished grandmother to Mathew Hawkins, Katelyn Hawkins, Kylob Reid, and a proud great-grandmother to Beau Hawkins. Brenda's love extended beyond family—she was a loyal friend, a respected businesswoman, and a compassionate presence in the lives of many.

Brenda will be deeply missed by her sisters Gayle Fortin (Simon), Diane Fuller (Bob), Joan Wert, and Connie Baker (Charlie), as well as her sister-in-law Linda Wilson. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Gilbert Wilson and Jean Anderson Wilson, her brother Kenneth (Ken) Wilson, her brother-in-law Glenn Wert, her nephew Tim Easton and special friend Derrick Anderson.

Interment will be held  in St. Andrews United Church Cemetery in L'Amable on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 1 p.m.
