Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday, February 19, 2009 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Cecila (Cil) de LaPlante (May 12, 2005). Loving father of David and Susan, and Ed and Lista. Dear grandfather of Janet, Adam, Matthew, Steven, Sarah and Laura. Dear brother of Margaret (Ron) Rondeau, June (Tony) Mullen and Diane Garskey. Pre-deceased by his parents Joseph Garskey and Teresa Luckasavitch.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 6-8 p.m. Monday. (Parish Prayers 7:45 p.m. Monday). Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Reverend Norbert Glasmacher officiating. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or the PRHC Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
