POWERS, David Michael

It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our dearly beloved brother David on Tuesday June 30, 2009 at the age of 57. He will be forever missed by his siblings, Terry (Louise), Carl (Anne), Teresa Flaherty (Pat), Anne Cameron (Dave), Marie Vollering (Tony), and Karen Buck (Greg). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. He was Uncle Dave to Christina and Chris, Dan and Heather, Nick and Tracy, Matt and Jenn, Jessica and Remy, Mike, Alicia, Justin and Robert, Matt and Megan. Great uncle to Lily, Alivia, Bridgette, Isabelle and Ben, Claire and Alexus. He will be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbours. Pre-deceased by his parents Mercedes (2006) and Victor (1963). Dave was a very special person and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. David was a long time employee of Sysco Food Services and a lifetime member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. He loved the family get togethers, the weekly outings with his buddies and his Toronto Maple Leafs. David was a kind and gentle soul who has touched so many in his lifetime.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday. (Parish Prayers 7:30 p.m. Sunday) Funeral Mass in OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH, OTONABEE on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 10 a.m. Reverend David West officiating. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of the Assumption Church or the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society.
