Passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in his 55th year. Beloved son of Gerald and Barbara Whelan. Loving father of Shannon, Jordan (Jennifer). Grandfather to be. Dear brother of Mary Lynn (Kelly) Rutherford, Mark (Anne Marie), Ann Whelan, Sylvia Whelan, Michael (Vicki), Theresa (Hazen) Henderson. Dear nephew of John (Barbara), Jim (Darla), Margaret (Stenyk) Kvarda, Kay (Reed) Harmon, Jack Hoop (Shirley), Margaret Whelan and Rita Whelan; Joseph and Donald both predeceased. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2016 (Parish Prayers 4 p.m. Sunday). Funeral Mass at ST. MARTIN OF TOURS CHURCH, ENNISMORE on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, Ennismore. Reception to follow in St. Martin of Tours Parish Hall.
