COVERT, Donald Edward (Don)

Passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, November 22, 2019 in his 68th year. Don was born on April 5, 1952 and grew up in Westwood Ontario. He attended Norwood District High School.

Don was a long time employee of Cashway and Rona Building Centers in Lakefield and Peterborough. He was an enthusiastic hockey player with the Peterborough Seniors Hockey Club. During the off season he played slo-pitch with the Peterborough Men's Senior Slo-Pitch.

Beloved son of Fay Covert (nee Crawford) and the late Jack (John) Covert. Predeceased by his brother Robert (Bob) Covert and his sister-in-law Sally Covert (nee Bales). Loving father of Elaine Covert and Lynn (Diane) Covert. He will be missed by his dear friend Geena Swann.

A Celebration of Don's life will be held at The Mount Community Centre (1545 Monaghan Road, Peterborough, ON) on Friday November 29 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a brief memorial service at 4:45 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Duffus Funeral Home. If desired donations in memory of Don can be made to a charity of your choice.
