O'DONOGHUE, Earl Joseph (W.W. II Veteran and Retired CGE Employee)

Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, June 19, 2016 in his 96th year. Earl was a soft-spoken man and often described as a gentle person as well as a Gentleman. He took great pride in his faith, fulfilling several roles in the Catholic Church for over 50 years. He had great devotion to the Rosary and attended Holy Mass as often as possible. He will also be remembered for his great passion for bowling. He enjoyed the game of 10 pin bowling well into his later years.

Beloved husband of the late Iona Docteur (April 30, 1990). Loving father of Teresa Hickey (Vince), Ray O'Donoghue (Carolann), Anne O'Donoghue, Paul O'Donoghue (Cindy), and Frank O'Donoghue. He will be missed by his grandchildren: Tammy (Thomas), Tracey, Amy (Todd), Timothy (Jenn), Vince, John, Kit, Patrick (Kristi) and Nicole. Loving great-grandfather of Wesley, Clairissa, Julianna, Sylara and Zoe. Pre-deceased by his parents Francis O'Donoghue and Agnes McGarrity, brothers Cecil O'Donoghue and Reverend Monsignor Clayton O'Donoghue and grandson Kevin Quackenbush.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Funeral Mass in the CATHEDRAL OF ST. PETER-IN-CHAINS on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery.
