GREEN, Edward "Ted"

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ted Green on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Fairhaven Home (Peterborough). Beloved husband of 61 years to Marie (Dupuis). Loving father of Dan (Chris) of Kitchener, Don (Carolyn) of Bancroft, and Cathy Ryan (Pat) of Ottawa. Caring grandfather of Rebecca (Maia), Thomas, Abby (Colin), Liam, Jack and Sophie.

Cherished brother of Aileen Flynn of Peterborough, Katherine (Vern) Cannon of Lake St Peter, Claire (Paul) Legault of Lake St Peter, Patsy (Richard) Shalla of Whitney and brother-in-law of Pat Green of Maynooth, Helen Green of Bancroft, Dan Cannon of Peterborough, and Sharon (Chuck) Brown of Peterborough. Remembered by many treasured nephews, nieces and a large extended family.

Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Gertrude (Baptiste), parents in-law Edward and Iva (Barr) Dupuis, and siblings and in-laws, Jack (Helen), Bill, Lawrence, Doris (David) Fell, Jim (Amy and Marie), Mary (Jimmy) Yeomans, Anne Cannon, Sammy (Rose), Vern Ferguson, Lawrence Flynn and Jim Dupuis.

Born and raised in Maynooth, Ted and Marie resided in East City (Peterborough) where Ted worked for the City of Peterborough Public Works. Enjoying family, everything outdoors, traveling, volunteering, and carpentry, Ted loved every minute of his 30+ years of retirement.

A funeral mass will occur at his home parish, Immaculate Conception Church (386 Rogers St, Peterborough), on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow immediately in the basement church hall. Cremation has taken place, with a graveside service at Saint Ignatius Martyr Church cemetery (Maynooth) to be scheduled in the spring. Arrangements entrusted to Duffus Funeral Home (Peterborough).

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society (Peterborough) or the Fairhaven Foundation (Peterborough) would be appreciated by the family.
