Passed away peacefully at Extendicare, Peterborough on Sunday, September 22, 2024 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Lake Sr. (June 27, 2014).  Loving mother of Gordon Lake Jr. and wife Liz of Peterborough, Douglas Lake of Vancouver, BC, and John Lake and wife Maria of Peterborough; and the late Barbara Wells (June 7, 2010) and dear mother-in-law of Jamieson (Jamie) Wells. Dear grandmother of Arden Wells, Geoffrey (Brenda), Jonathan (Sarah) and Cathleen (Alex), and Christina (Nick), Stephen (Emma) and Nicholas Lake. Dear great grandmother of Max Lake, and Scarlett and Georgina Nelson. Dear sister-in-law of Patsy Ryan of Lindsay and Carol Switzer of Coboconk. Predeceased by her parents Joseph Ryan and Esther Jacob, sisters Shirley Eades and Evelyn Weaver and brothers John and Elwood Ryan.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 12 noon – 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024 followed by a Celebration of Etta's life in the DUFFUS CHAPEL at 1 p.m. Interment at Bridgenorth Cemetery.
