Peacefully at his residence on Saturday, December 26, 2009 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Edith Batley. Loving father of Jannine (Manuel) Da Costa, Francis (Brenda), Carolyn (Steve) Williams, Jane (Chris) McFadden, and Douglas (Kristin). Dear grandfather of Theresa Lynn, Joseph, Lisa, Mathew, Ria, Adam Joseph, Amanda, Amber, Marie, Christopher, Robert, Konnor, Kaleigh and Jadin. Dear great grandfather of John, Jacob, Prizm, Gabriel, Julio, Cameron, Isabella, Stephanie and Brooklyn. Dear brother of Mary Ellen (Joseph) Jones and Paul (Shirley). Pre-deceased by his parents Joseph Huard and Elizabeth Traynor, sister Barbara Romain and brothers Clare, John and Joseph Jr.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52 Memorial Service at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday followed by the Funeral Service in the DUFFUS CHAPEL on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
