Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Monday, October 30, 2017 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Dianne Marie Coughlin.  Loving father of James and wife Jacqueline and Ryan; Christopher predeceased June 29, 2005. Loving Papa of Fern and Ellen Doherty-Harrison. Dear son of the late Frank Doherty and Dorothy O'Brien. Dear brother of Teresa Leahy (late husband Gerald), Carl Doherty and wife Jan, Leo Doherty predeceased December 9, 1981, and Jean McGarrity and husband Wayne. Dear son-in-law of the late Mart and Alma Coughlin. Dear brother-in-law of Jim and Marian Coughlin, Gerald (Gerry) Coughlin predeceased July 18, 2000, and wife Dorothy Anne, Loretta and Don Thurston, Carol and Don Kidd, Brian and Margaret Coughlin, Eileen and Paul York, Marlene and Mike van den Broek and Patti and Bob Pluard. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME , 431 George Street South from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017. (Knights of Columbus Assumption-Keene Parish Council Prayers 4 p.m. Thursday). Funeral Mass at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH, OTONABEE on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Douro.
