Loving father of Mary Lynn (Kelly) Rutherford, Mark (Anne Marie), Ann Whelan, Sylvia Whelan, Michael (Vicki), Theresa (Hazen) Henderson; and the late David (d. 2016). Dear grandfather of Matthew (Tara), Jaclyn (Jamin), Christopher (Heather), Bradly (Dana), Robert (Amanda), Sheena, Kelli (JP), Jenna, Michael, Joel (Andrea), Natalee (John Paul), Renee, Carlee, Jordan (Jennifer), Shannon, Haley and Julie. Dear great grandfather of Zoey, Owen, Claire and Evelyn. Dear brother of John (Barbara), Jim (Darla), Margaret (Stenyk) Kvarda, Kay (Reed) Harmon; predeceased by Joseph and Donald (Rita). Dear brother-in-law of Margaret Whelan and Jack Hoop (Shirley). Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John Joseph Whelan and Margaret Mary Hughes.
