Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Hospital Drive on Sunday, March 16, 2008 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Longhurst - Nee McAuliffe (April 15, 2007). Loving father of Perry Longhurst and his wife Shannon of Ennismore. Grandfather of Kristyn and Cameron Longhurst. Survived by sisters Shirley (Peter) Apers, Carroll (Neil) Jamieson, Yvonne (Karl) Neck and sisters-in-law Marie Longhurst and Barbara McAuliffe. Uncle of several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his son Paul Douglas, parents Roy Longhurst and Jean Morrison and brothers Lockie and Lloyd.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. (Parish Prayers 7:30 p.m. Tuesday) Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 10 a.m. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Immaculate Conception Parish Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
