McDOUGALL, Harold Robert John "Bud" (June 3, 1936 - November 27, 2012)
(Former GE employee and co-founder of Lorne Eakins Hockey School).
Our hero, coach, husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Son of the late Harold "Shrimp" McDougall and Vi (Creighton), has been called up to the rink in heaven after a difficult training camp, finally finding peace at the PRHC Palliative Unit. To carry on his legacy of compassion and humour, Bud leaves behind his loving wife Marion (Clancy), children Paul (Arlene) of Peterborough, Diane (Mike) of Ottawa, Dan (Adele) of Norwood and Mike (Kate) of Boston; thirteen grandchildren: Erin (Chad), Sarah, Danielle (Brett), Mike (Jennifer), Laura, Seamus, Kevan, Ethan, Matthew, Ryan, Meaghan, Dylan, Sean; and four great-grandchildren: Beau, Mya Clare, Logan, Hunter. Sisters: Pat (Bernard) Clancy, Anne (Bob) Webdale, and late Mary (Bob) Curtis; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jean (late Fred) Clancy, Jim (Carol) Clancy, Helen (late Arnold) Condon; and Aunt Anne Widdis. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, priests and sports family were also supportive during Bud's journey. Special thanks to Dr. Jennifer Gillis-Doyle and the wonderful staff at the PRHC Palliative Unit who have become our second family during his battle with cancer.
