MALONEY, Helen Theresa (July 25, 1925 - July 27, 2009)

Peacefully at Creekway Village, Burlington, on Monday, July 27, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Wife of the late Harold Edward Maloney (June 7, 1966). Loving mother of Harold (Gwen) of Mississauga and Robert of Toronto. Dearest grandmother of Margaret and Peter; and John and Kathleen. Dear sister of Mary Shaughnessy of Ottawa and Emmett Condon and wife Kay of Peterborough, Kevin Condon and wife Cathy of Calgary and Rose Steenburgh of Peterborough. Dear Aunt "Heley" of many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her parents John Condon and Johanna McCann, sisters Loretta McCartney, Reverend Sister Mary Hilda (Isabel), Carmelita Driscoll, Lillian Condon and Priscilla Laton and brothers Patrick and John Condon. Helen was famous for her butter tarts and apple pies, which she generously lavished on family and friends. Before her marriage she worked at Westclok where she "made faces and turned handsprings". Her happiest days were the annual summer visits of her devoted grandchildren when a good time was had by all. The family thanks the dedicated staff of Escarpment View, Creekway Village for their loving care of Helen for the past four years.
