CRANLEY, Hilda Marie (Casey)
At Peterborough Regional Health Centre's Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with illness on November 29, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Michael James (Jim) Cranley (November 10, 1986). Devoted and loving Mother of Don & Carol, Bonnie & Kelly Nolan, John & Debbi, Sue & Ron Hughey of Peterborough, Dan & Donna of Kanata, Peter & Fran and Linda & Ken Hartwick of Milton. Proud Nana of Andrea (Mark), Bob (Sarah), Morgan, Chad, Ryan (Cindy), Amy, Allan (Carrie), Adam, Kevin, Sarah, Brian, David, Chasen, Kaleigh, Codi, Luc, Brooke and Vanessa. Special treasures in her life were her great grandchildren Kyle, Tyson, Bryce, Natalie, Leah, Alexander and Madison. Mom was most proud of the love and support that her children and grandchildren had for each other and the closeness of the family that she and Jim raised. She was the cherished daughter of John & Mary ( Leahy) Casey predeceased. She is survived by her dearly loved siblings, Jean Guerin, Kathleen Crowley, David ( Dorothy) Casey, Rita Campbell ( Duane ), brother-in-law Vincent Cranley and sister-in-law Ola Bittorf. She was predeceased by her siblings Eileen Connelly, Joseph Casey, and Shirley Howran. She will remain in the hearts of her many dear nieces and nephews. Hilda was not only defined by her love and dedication to family, but also friends. She will be fondly remembered by her wonderful and caring neighbours, the valued friends she met over the years, including her Bridge friends and the staff and customers she met as a dedicated employee of Better Home Bake Shop.
Visitation will be at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday December 2nd. Parish Prayers will be at 3:30. It is fitting that the Celebration Mass of Hilda's life will take place at Immaculate Conception Church, the church in which she was baptized, married and remained a lifelong member. The Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday December 3, 2008 at 10 a. m. Reverend Father Leo Coughlin officiating. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. If desired, donations to Casa De Angelae, Peterborough Regional Health Centre's Palliative Care Unit or a charity of your choice, in memory of Hilda, would be appreciated by the family.
