Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's at Fleming, on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Jessie Adam-Stewart and the late Ruth MacNamee. Loving father of Lesley (d. 2012) (surviving husband Michael Hanley), Dr. Jeffrey Stewart, Barbara (Frank) Gratton, and Kimberley (Jon) Pollack. Dear grandfather of Jason Hanley and Robyne Dafoe, Sara Breedon, Katherine Maier, Michael Stewart and James Stewart, Benjamin Gratton, Patrick Gratton and Carolyn Gratton, Joshua Pollack and Ian Pollack. Dear great grandfather of Hayden and Mikaela, Hunter, Ava and Jaxson, Bailey, Ryann and Logan, Abbey and Gracelyn, Charlotte, Julianna and Kohen. Predeceased by his parents Ira Stewart and Margaret Grant, brother Robert Stewart and sisters Edith Stewart, Hazel Merkel, Elizabeth McLean and Jean MacKay.
