DUFFUS, Jackaline Joy (Jackie) (October 30, 1925 – April 4, 2022)

Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's at Fleming, on Monday, April 4, 2022 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Bert L. Duffus d. April 13, 2006. Loving and caring mother of Tom (late Teresa Gooley) and Peter (Nancy) Duffus. Dear grandma of Kerri (Al) Lavoie and Kate Duffus (late Sam). Dear great grandma of Ava, Elyse and Maxime. Dear aunt of Richard Brown, Ron (Katie) Brown, Shirley (Roger) Hawkins; Robert Yorston (late Sonde), Mark (Elizabeth) Donoghue, and Debby Crowder. Lovingly remembered by the Growden and Carroll Families. Dear great aunt of Kathy (Mark) Round, Paul (Kathleen) Dalgleish, Cheryl White, Dale (Jayne) White, Brenda (Robert) Byers, David (Michelle) White, Lisa (Bill) Mollard, Trevor Hawkins, Graham Hawkins, Susan Brown, Jay (Michelle) Brown, Christopher, Richard and Matthew Brown and their families. Predeceased by her parents Richard Henry Brown d. 1965 and Georgina Somerville d. 1979, sisters Frances Bissett d. 1994 (late husband Ken), Doreen White d. 1999 (late husband Sawyer), brother Victor Brown d. 1998 (late wife Evelyn), sister Azella Brown d. 2016, sister Phyllis Andrew d. 2004 (late husband Alex), sister-in-law Dorothy Donoghue d. 1990 (late husband Mark), and brother-in-law Vincent Duffus d. 2006, niece Eyvonne Dalgleish d. 2009 (late husband Clifford), and nephews Garvin White d. 2014 (late wife Beryl), and David Duffus.

Visitation will be held at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022 and from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022. A Celebration of Jackie's life will be held in the DUFFUS CHAPEL on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1 p.m. (The family request that those attending the visitation or celebration of life would kindly wear masks). Reception to follow. Private Family Entombment in the Duffus Family Crypt at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be gratefully accepted. In memory of Jackie, donations to St. Joseph's at Fleming Foundation or the Sister's of the Precious Blood Monastery would be appreciated by the family.
