Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care on Monday, March 28, 2011 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Murray John Nice (October 3, 2000). Loving mother of Sandra and husband Ken Plantt, Tom Nice and wife Mary of Peterborough, John Nice, and Wayne Nice of Peterborough, and Michelle White and husband David of Douro. Dear grandmother of Kendra and Steven; Katie and Adam; Julia, Brandon, Dylan and Connor; Mathew, Luke and Mackenzie. Dear sister of Veronica Hickey of Peterborough, Edward Shannon and wife Carol, and Margaret Shannon of Marmora. Dear sister-in-law of Joan Shannon of Marmora. Remembered by several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her parents Michael Shannon and Bertella Maloney, brother Stafford Shannon and brother-in-law Joseph Hickey.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. (Parish Prayers 3:45 p.m. Wednesday). Funeral Mass in ST. ALPHONSUS CHURCH on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 10 a.m. Cremation followed by a private family interment at St. Martin of Tour's Cemetery, Ennismore.
