CREALLY, Joan Irene April 20, 1946 - December 27, 2014

On a December day, Joanie received her Christmas present; the Good Lord released her from her earthly pain and sent His angels to carry her Home. Though heartbroken to leave her family, Joanie looked forward to being reunited with her Mom, Dad, and sister Carole. Grateful for the unconditional love she gave them, Joanie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gerry, sons Jason (Erika), and Justin (Catherine), grandsons Matthew, Owen, Daniel, Liam, Quinn and granddaughter Cailyn.
Survived also by her brother Peter Calabrese (Carol), sisters Linda Schweier (John), and Janis Hofmann (Steve White).
Joanie was pre-deceased by her mother Helen (Jones), father Harold Kendry, stepmother Doreen Kendry, sisters Sandra Edwards, and Carole Yeatman. Joanie felt a special bond with Carole's family: Cheryl, Shawn and Neil. Treasuring all of the good memories of Joanie are her friends Mary Jane MacKenzie and Pat Skitch and lifelong friend Betty Hughes. Feeling her loss as well are her many friends at Sears and Weight Watchers. During her final days, Joanie felt the love of her siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends who said good-bye. Once the tears finally stop, Joanie's beloved grandchildren can look up to the Heavens and know Nana is watching over them.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014. (Parish Prayers 12:45 p.m. Monday) Funeral Mass in SACRED HEART CHURCH on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery.
