MARTELL, John William (Jack) (WWII Overseas Naval War Veteran, and member of the Peterborough Naval Association; the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52, Peterborough; Retired Captain from the Peterborough Fire Department with over 30 years service; Past member of the Fire Disaster Committee; Past Faithful Navigator of the Bishop Francis A. Marrocco 4th Degree Assembly; Past Grand Knight of the Ernest J. Wolff Council 798; Devoted member of St. Alphonsus Knights of Columbus Council #11086 and St. Vincent de Paul Society) of Fraserville on Sunday, September 30, 2012 in his 88th year, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Loving husband of Marilyn (Clarke) 63 years married, in St. Alphonsus Church. Father of Michael (deceased) wife Patricia, Annette (Ronnie Challice), Maria (Terry O'Brien), and Peter (Jane). Grandfather of 9 grandchildren and of 2 great grandchildren. Brother of Robert Martell and Lois, Marie Warrington and John, Doreen Crowley and Albert, and Louise Reid and Don.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012. (Knights of Columbus St. Alphonsus Parish Council Prayers 7:30 p.m. Wednesday). Funeral Mass in ST. ALPHONSUS CHURCH on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Sisters of the Precious Blood would be appreciated by the family. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
