PRUNER, John George - Peterborough, Ontario. Former Problem teenager, WW II Veteran (who lost and regained his rank several times for bad behaviour), Peterborough firefighter (Captain), an amzing and capable chef, Mason (for over 60 years), Kawartha Shriner (President), sportsman and irrepressible rascal.

Jack passed on into peace and loving arms on November 16, 2008 at the age of 87 in Peterborough Regional Health Cente after an extended struggle. He was living proof that problem teens can become valuable contributors to the world we share. Never give up hope. He is survived by his wife Marion (nee Hyatt), step children Frederick Robert Thwaites and Ruthann Thwaites, cherished grand-daughter Colleen Marion Thwaites, his sister Alice (and Bernie) Morin, brother Don (and Muriel) Pruner plus several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, close friends and extended family. Very special thanks are due the excellent staff of Peterborough Regional Health Centre whose care was outstanding.

There will be one visitation only on Thursday, November 20th commencing at 1 p.m. in All Saints Anglican Church, 235 Rubidge Street followed immediately by the memorial service at 2 p.m. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
