It is with heavy hearts that the family of Leo Hobbins announce his passing on August 20, 2010, in his 89th year, peacefully with his family by his side. Longtime employee of Outboard Marine. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Stewart (December 26, 1980). Loving father of Brian and wife Cindy, Peter and wife Sheila, and Brenda. Devoted and proud grandfather of Jenny (James) Clark, Mitchell, Sarah, Ashley and Cody. Dear brother of Maurice (Helen) Hobbins and Gerald Hobbins (Catherine pre-deceased). Survived by many nieces and nephews and a friend to many. Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick Hobbins and Mary Gooley, brothers Mike and John (World War II), Dennis (Aileen), Dan (Teresa), sister Eileen (Clarence) Courneyea. The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare for their professionalism and compassion during his time there.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. (Parish Prayers 7:45 p.m. Tuesday). Funeral Mass in SACRED HEART CHURCH on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 10 a.m. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
