BEAN, Lisa Mary (nee Moher)

Lisa Bean passed away peacefully at Fairhaven LTC Home with family present on December 1, 2023 at 66 years of age. Lisa will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her partner in life Gord Bean, three sons Aleck (Alanna), Zachary, and Garett and two grandchildren Josephine and Rory. Lisa was the loving sister of Shawn Moher, Kerry Swinnerton, Brendan Moher (Janet), her twin Cathy Morrison (Ted), Deidre Moher, and Tralee Moher and the dearest aunt of 23 nieces and nephews. Lisa was predeceased by her parents James Moher and Frances Connolly and her older sister Mara Moher.

Lisa was born in 1957 in Peterborough, Ontario and her cheerful personality and big heart were evident from an early age. Lisa completed the Registered Nursing Assitant Program at St Michaels Hospital, Toronto, in 1977 and worked at St Joseph's Hospital, Peterborough, for a number of years before transitioning to a health care practitioner for the elderly.

Lisa will be remembered by her family as a strong woman who loved her three boys more than anything. She would tell you that her most cherished role was a mother. Lisa's infectious smile and positive spirit shone through in everything she did. She loved music and to sing and dance. Lisa was kind to everyone she met, regardless of their walk of life, and could always be counted on for helping out at a moments notice.

Lisa's faith remained her foundational anchor throughout her life. Her sensitivity and support to the challenges and suffering of others will always remain a cornerstone of whom Lisa was as a person. We will miss Lisa with all of our hearts.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South, Peterborough, on Tuesday December 5, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm with parish prayers at 5:30pm and funeral mass at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 386 Rogers Street, Peterborough, on Wednesday December 6, 2023 at 1pm followed by a private interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Reception to follow in Immaculate Conception Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lisa would be appreciated by the family being sent to Fairhaven LTC Home via the Fairhaven Foundation.
