LEAHY, Madelyn Margaret (71 year CWL member and retired teacher)

Entered into rest peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, March 16th, 2016 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Leahy (October 30th, 1979). Loving mother of Larry and Pat, Douro, Loretta and Bob Falls, Bobcaygeon, Lorraine and Joe Perdue, Downeyville, Keith (predeceased in 1950), Barb Bestard, Peterborough, Neil and Marian, Douro. Cherished grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of 23. Dear sister of Joe Sullivan (late Ella) Teresa Pala (late Joe), brother-in-law Lionel Johnson. Predeceased by siblings Cletus Sullivan (Marguerite), Monsignor Reverend Gerard Sullivan, Bernard Sullivan (Eva), John Sullivan (Ann), Marie Johnson. Daughter of the late John Sullivan and Josephine O'Brien. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Sincere appreciation to the staff of Peterborough Retirement Residence and to the PRHC Palliative Care Unit.

Resting at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016. (Parish Prayers 4 p.m. Sunday). Mass of Resurrection will take place at St. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, DOURO on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Douro.
