ROPPOLO, Margherita

On Saturday, February 25, 2017, we said goodbye to our beloved mother, mother-in-law and Nonna. Margherita was born in 1932 in Santa Ninfa, Sicily, and moved with her husband, Vito, and son Ignazio to Canada in 1956. Her children and grandchildren were the greatest joys of her life. She will be remembered always for her strength and generosity, and her radiant smile. Predeceased by her husband Vito, sister Giuseppina, brothers Francesco, Rosario and Giuseppe, she is mourned deeply by her children and their spouses: Ignazio (Valerie), Paolo (Debra) and Josie (Duane Lemaire). She also leaves to mourn her sister Leonarda (Marco) Montalto, grandchildren Jessica (Simon), Marley and Erica Roppolo, and Daniel and Nick Lemaire, as well as special sisters-in-law Francesca DiMaria and Lina DiMaria, members of extended family, and many longtime friends.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Funeral Mass in ST. ALPHONSUS LIGUORI CHURCH on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in St. Alphonsus Parish Hall.
