It is with immense love and sadness, but also with many happy memories, that we say good-bye to our beloved mother, Carmen Doran, who passed away peacefully on March 16, 2022, in her 90 th year, at PRHC.
Carmen was born and raised in Peterborough, ON where she met and married the love of her life, Gerard (Gerry) Doran (predeceased). She will be fondly remembered and cherished by her 6 children - Stephen Doran - predeceased (Shirley Doran), Karen Archer (John Archer), Janet Doran (Jimmy Adams), Mary Lou Walroth (Clark Walroth), Joseph Doran (Barb Koshowski) and Kendra Evans (David Evans).
Carmen was a proud grandmother to Mike St. Thomas, Sonya Doran-Jamieson, Luke Sage, Janet St. Thomas, Amanda Doran, Ashley Beatty, Shandice Doran, Nicole Sage, Lindsay Leska, Kendra Reid, Megan Forbes, and Alexandra Evans, as well as a great-grandmother to 17 cherished grandchildren.
Carmen was predeceased by her parents Carmine Giardino and Leonardina Cupoli, as well as her beloved brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister in laws, Mary Giardino and Laureen Doran.
Carmen will be remembered for her love and faithfulness to the Lord, her husband, family and friends. Her vibrant and lively personality was experienced by many and will never be forgotten.
Mom – you will be forever in our hearts, always remembered and forever missed.
Our family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at PRHC, for the care and compassion shown to Carmen and her family during her final days. Also, thank you for the many expressions of sympathy from close family and friends.
In accordance with her wishes, a mass will be held at the CATHEDRAL OF ST. PETER-IN-CHAINS, on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception at the Bishop Doyle Knights of Columbus Hall.
