COLLINS, Marie (Retired Registered Nurse)

Passed away peacefully at Birchmount Hospital, Scarborough on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in her 73rd year. Beloved daughter of the late John Collins and Jean Shanahan. Loving sister of Anne O'Donnell (Fred), Clare Collins (Sally) and Danise Collins (Anthony); Ronald Collins predeceased.  Dear aunt of  Gary O'Donnell (Sandra),  John O'Donnell (Julie), Tyler Collins, Emily Collins (Mike), Travis and Josh Collins, Zach, Shannon, Madison and Kayley Worona. Dear great aunt of Allison and Jacob, Avery and Logan and Jayne and Oliver. Marie was a graduate of the last year of St Joseph's School of Nursing in Peterborough.  She initially worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Peterborough.  Later she moved to Toronto where she worked at Centenary Hospital and then North York General.  She retired after a very fulfilling and successful career in Nursing. Marie enjoyed reading and entertaining family and friends frequently at her cottage on Crystal Lake.  She spent many hours swimming, canoeing and enjoying long conversations around the campfire.  She will be sadly missed by her family.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Funeral Mass at SACRED HEART CHURCH on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the visitation or funeral mass are required to RSVP by calling the funeral home at 705-745-4612 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all guests are required to have proof of full vaccination, along with government issued photo ID and wear a face covering to attend the visitation and funeral.
