McCARTHY, Marie A.

Passed away peacefully with her nephew at her side at Extendicare on April 25, 2023 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas James McCarthy and Mae Guerin. Beloved Sister of Tom (Sharon); cherished Aunt to Chris, Peter (Elaine), Nicole (Kelly); and dear Great Aunt to Audrey, Carolyn, Forest and Oliver. Marie was a long time Employee at St. Joseph's Hospital for 31 years. She loved to read and will be remembered for her sharp wit, contagious laugh and her ability to tell a story from years past as if it happened yesterday. She was a skilled Seamstress who also loved to knit and crochet with a soft spot for animals, particularly her dear dogs. A special thank you and appreciation to the Doctors and staff at Extendicare who gave such loving care to Marie and made her final years blessed and peaceful. We will always remember your kindness. Also, a special thank you to Father Andrew Begin for your support. Requiesce in pace.
