SHAUGHNESSY, Marie Margaret (nee Crowley) - Longtime Member of St. Anne's Church

Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, November 4, 2023 in her 93rd year.  Beloved wife of the late Thomas Joseph Shaughnessy for 67 years. Loving mother of Mark (Liz), Tom (Brenda), Lori (Pat) Smith, and Mike (Elena). Dear grandmother of Kory (Brittany), and Jake (Lexie); Hayley and Luke (Patrizia); Bennison (Mackenzie) and Gena; and Michaela and Abbey. Dear great grandmother of Reece, Blakely, Kinsley and expecting Luca. Dear sister of Marjorie Shaughnessy (late Harry),  and Dorothy Elms. Dear sister-in-law of Terry (Margaret) Shaughnessy and Darlene Shaughnessy. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William Crowley and Loretta McMahon, sister Renie (late Harold) Hope, and brothers Francis and Terry Crowley. Also predeceased by brother and sister in laws, Bill and Mary Shaughnessy, Helen and John Muldowney, Pat and Verna Shaughnessy, Johnny and Rita Shaughnessy, Jimmy and Bert Shaughnessy, Justin and Estelle Shaughnessy, Reg and Mary Shaughnessy, Harry, Paul and Clare Shaughnessy. Special thanks to the ICU nursing staff at PRHC for the dignity and respect shown to Marie and the family. A special thank you to Jackson Creek Retirement Residence for their care and compassion during Marie's stay here.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023. Funeral Mass at ST. ANNE'S CHURCH on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery.
