MULLIGAN, Marion: At home in Peterborough, Ontario, in her 86th year, surrounded by her children, Peggy, Bob, Michael, Colleen (Steve Harrington), Brian, Laura (Paul Hurtubise). Beloved wife of the late John Mulligan (1986). Marion was the youngest and last surviving child of Thomas & Catherine (O'Connor) McGrath, of Ruby, Ontario. Predeceased by siblings, Genevieve McNulty, Anna Mary Finnerty, Michael McGrath, Alice Cull, Patrick McGrath, Teresa Power, Evelyn O'Connor, Ambrose McGrath, Anastasia Monette. She was a kind and gentle grandmother to Joshua, Katelyn, Jonathan, Kyle, David, Christina (Michael Anthony), Amy, Amanda, Milissa, Eve, Samuel and Isaac. Great-grandmother to Finnegan. Marion's life was blessed with a large family, made full through the love of extended members of both the Mulligan and McGrath families and many friends. Marion was a parishioner of St. Anne's parish since 1968 and over the years was an active member of the CWL. She was a devout Catholic, confident in God's love and mercy. As Marion's Alzheimer's disease progressed, she was shown dignity and compassion from many healthcare providers. Sincere appreciation to The Gain Clinic; LHIN co-ordinator Janet; SW Donna; NP Helen; VON; St. Elizabeth nurses; Dr. Whiting and Dr. Morelli. Forever grateful to many PSW's, especially Catherine, Serena and Lil. Visitation will take place at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South, on Tuesday, September 4 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass at ST. ANNE'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 859 Barnardo Avenue, on Wednesday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Marion, donations to St. Anne's Church, or the Fragile X Foundation at fragilexcanada.ca, would be appreciated by the family.
