Peacefully surrounded by her family at Riverview Manor, on Thursday, November 21, 2013 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Courneya (April 24, 2009). Loving mother of Susan Banhegyesi, and Terry and wife Shelley. Dear grandmother of Carla, Matthew and Kaleigh. Dear sister-in-law of Irene Smith, Cecil Courneya, Marcella Sowerby and Neil Courneya. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her parents Leonard Smith and Elizabeth Lindley, sisters Edith Frizzelle, Alice Smith and Dorothy Johnson and brothers Edward (Ted), Don, Clifford, Ken and Albert Smith.

At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in ST. ANNE'S CHURCH on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Highland Park Cemetery. In memory of Betty, donations to the Alzheimer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Riverview Manor would be appreciated by the family.
