Peacefully at Montfort Hospital, Ottawa on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late William John Shaughnessy (September 10, 1996). Loving mother of Betty and husband Paul Scanlon of Fairport, New York, Jim and wife Anne of Callander, Ontario, Marie Shaughnessy of Richmond, British Columbia and Caroline and husband Jamie Cruickshank of Val-des-Monts, Quebec. Dear grandmother of Patrick (Stephanie), Bart (Lynn) and Matthew Scanlon, Erin (Mich) Gagné, Lisa (Darren) and James Ryan (Sarah) Shaughnessy. Dear great-grandmother of Katie, Erin, Ryan, Sean, Kevin, Simon, Seamus, Rory and Audrey. Dear sister of Emmett (Kay) Condon of Peterborough, Kevin (Cathy) Condon of Calgary, and Rose Steenburgh of Peterborough. Pre-deceased by her parents John Condon and Johanna McCann and sisters Carmelita Driscoll, Lillian Condon, Reverend Sister Mary Isabel (Hilda), Priscilla Laton, Loretta McCartney and Helen Maloney, and brothers Patrick and John Condon.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 1-4 and 7-8 p.m. Sunday.
