STONER, Mary Geraldine (Geri)

Retired Medical Secretary from St. Joseph's Hospital in Peterborough and London, Ontario

Passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold Clare Stoner d. June 22, 1989. Predeceased by her Son Michael d. August 04, 2014. Loving mother of Cathy Kurkiniemi and husband Eric of Sault Ste. Marie, Bob Stoner and wife Anne, and Garth Stoner and wife Mary Jane all of Peterborough.

Dear grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Donald McPhee and Mary Steele and her two loving sisters Florence Cebulski of London Ontario and Theresa Murray of Seaforth Ontario.

Geri lived at Jackson Creek Retirement Residence the last seven years and was very grateful for the many friendships she made and the professional care of all the staff at Jackson Creek Retirement Residence.

Special Thanks to to all the Nursing Staff of the PRHC Palliative Care Unit.  Also a special thank you to all of the Palliative Care Doctors especially Dr. MacMillan-Jones, Dr. Kloppenburg and Dr. Jayabalan.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2 – 3 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 followed by a Celebration of Geri`s Life in the DUFFUS CHAPEL at 3 p.m. Reception to follow in the Duffus Reception Centre. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery in London, Ontario on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 1 p.m.
