Peacefully at Rubidge Retirement Residence, on Sunday March 29, 2015 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Hubert Kennedy (September 23, 1997). Loving mother of Michael and wife Sandra of Peterborough, and Barbara Kennedy of Val-des-Monts, Quebec. Proud grandmother of David Covert and wife Hetty, Cathy Sarino and husband Gus, Brian Covert and fiancee Erin, Randall Phillips, and Robin Phillips and wife Julia. Dear great grandmother of Clay and Hugh Covert, and Michael and Stephanie Sarino. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Lisa Hicks for her excellent medical care over the years and also to the wonderful staff at Rubidge Retirement Residence for their kindness and care. Predeceased by her parents Michael O'Brien and Mary Ellen Murphy, daughters Helen Phillips and Carolyn Covert, son-in-law James Covert, sisters Catherine Murphy and Marge Park and brothers Wilford and William O'Brien.
