MacISAAC, Mary Josephine (nee Hartley)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, in the presence of her loving family at PRHC, in her 100th year. Mum was born January 26, 1917, she faced death the way that she lived life: with strength, determination, dignity and love. Beloved wife of the late Archibald (Archie) Daniel MacIsaac (1975) and Alexander William (Bill) Chisholm (2011). Loving mother of Rod (Jennifer) and Bonnie (Greg Welch) of Peterborough, Donna (Scott Heming) of Buckhorn, Colin (Loreen) of Calgary and Doug of Peterborough. "Mum" will be greatly missed by special family friend June Moncrief. Dear Grandma to Ian MacIsaac (Dee McArthur), Kate MacIsaac (Kyle Dupont), Dena Heming (Rick Teasdale) and Drew Heming (Michelle). Madison, Sydney and Carson MacIsaac of Calgary. Emily MacIsaac, Christie Gilbertson (Ian) and soon to be first great-grandchild. Mary will be lovingly remembered by Greg's children Chris (Krista) Welch and son Logan and Stephanie Welch and daughter Isabella Tummineri. She will be fondly remembered by all of Bill's children and their families especially his daughters Mary and Janet of Peterborough and his son Father Greg, a missionary priest in Peru. Mary was born in Hazel Hill, Nova Scotia, the middle of five children to Charles and Margaret Hartley. She is predeceased by her sisters Irene Murray and Kathryn Cusson and her brothers Donald and Charlie. Mary taught school for many years, including St. Martin's in Ennismore and St. Alphonsus in Peterborough. Many thanks to the kind and compassionate nurses and doctors at PRHC, the caring staff at Canterbury Gardens and especially at St. Joseph's at Fleming.
