Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Friday, March 9, 2012 in her 103rd year. Beloved wife of the late Augustine Whibbs (May 11, 1981). Beloved mother of Gus and wife Lynn of Cobourg, Terry and wife Margaret of Mississauga, Mary Vincent of Red Deer, Alberta, and Margaret Nowak of Mission Veijo, California. Dear mother-in-law of Rosanne, Beverley and Bill. Dear grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Pre-deceased by her parents Michael McManus and Mary Teresa Moher, sisters Margaret McManus and Sister Mary Jean McManus CSJ and brothers Joseph, Bernard, and Michael McManus. She is also pre-deceased by her sons Paul and John, daughter Nora Katrynuk, and son-in-law Ken Vincent, Mary will be fondly remembered by a large extended family, many former students, and cherished friends at Marycrest at Inglewood. Mary was a lifelong learner, a lover of music and the arts, travel, and an exuberant embracer of life. She was a loving and devoted mother and a faithful follower of her Catholic faith.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. (Parish Prayers 3:30 p.m. Tuesday). Funeral Mass in ST. ALPHONSUS CHURCH on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Douro.
