Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Helen Elizabeth Allen (nee O'Brien) (2011) and the late Hilda McPhee (1968). Loving brother of Gerald Hobbins. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick Hobbins (1928), and Mary Gooley (1975), sister Eileen Courneyea (2010), brothers Mike and John (World War II 1944), and Dennis (1987), Dan (2008), and Leo (2010).

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 (Parish Prayers 3:30 p.m. Friday). Funeral Mass in ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery.
