Patricia Gail Versluis
June 30, 1946 – December 6, 2024

[1] Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty."

Patricia Gail Versluis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully went home to be with her Saviour on December 6, 2024, at Pleasant Meadow Manor. She was 78 years old.

Born in Oshawa, Ontario on June 30, 1946, Patricia devoted her life to her family and her faith. She lived under the shelter of the Almighty, trusting fully in His promises and sharing His love with everyone she met. Her unwavering faith in God was a source of strength, peace, and hope, and her life reflected His goodness and grace.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Versluis, who shared 61 years of love and partnership with her. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter,

Michele Hartley, and son-in-law, Don Hartley; her daughter-in-law, Ruth Versluis, wife of her late son, Paul Versluis;

her cherished grandchildren, Rachel (married to Keelan), Benjamin (married to Emily), Aaron (married to Julianna), Caleb, and Joseph

Patricia's legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Anastasia, Kaydan, Jorah, and Mia.

She was also preceded in death by her dear foster daughter, Caprice, and her beloved son, Paul Versluis.

Throughout her life, Patricia found great comfort in the words of Psalms 91. She rested in the assurance that the Lord was her refuge and fortress, a place of safety and peace. Now, she has entered into His eternal presence, where she will dwell forever under His wings.

Patricia passed peacefully, at Pleasant Meadow Manor. Though her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, we take comfort in the promise that she is now in the presence of her Savior, free from pain and sorrow.

The family is deeply grateful to Duffus Funeral Home for their compassionate care during this time. Visitation will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024 followed by a memorial service celebrating Patricia's life and faith at Calvary Pentecostal Church,1421 Lansdowne  Street West Peterborough, on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 1 p.m.with Pastor Bill Martin officiating.

Flowers are welcome and can be sent to Calvary Pentecostal Church in Patricia's memory.

[ 14] The Lord says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.

[15] When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.

[16] I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation."."

Patricia Gail Versluis lived a life of faith, love, and devotion. She has now been called home to dwell forever in the shelter of the Most High. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, Patricia, in the loving arms of your Saviour.
