CROUGH, Peter James - World War II Veteran and Retired CGE Employee

Peacefully at St. Joseph's at Fleming, on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Denise (Joanisse) for 69 years. Peter was extremely loving and proud of his children: Sandra O'Toole (late Michael), Roger (Sheila), Linda (Don) Hobbins, Dan (Charlene), Evelyn (Gerry) Crough-Legros, Brian (Monica), Peter (Lisa), and Denise Pasqua. Dear and loving grandfather of Sean, Vincent, Carolyn, Dan, Ian, Josh, Bradley, Ryan, Chad, Adam, Erik, Christopher, Matthew, Justin, Jessie, Tyler, Serenity, Brian, Meghan Rose, Mariah, Melissa and Joseph. Proud and loving great-grandpa of 31. Peter was an important part of a large and loving family. Dear brother of Patricia Lustic, Teresa (Fred) Garvey, Doreen Arthurs, Emmett, Paul (Patti), and Shirley (Allan) O'Neill. Lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law Helen Crough and Anne Crough. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his dear parents James Crough and Bernadette Crowley and brothers Timothy, Vince, Urban, Michael (Max), Fergus, Robert Leo, Jack, Gerry, and sisters Sister Eileen Crough, Colette Moher, Helen Hoey and Carmel LeFave. Peter loved his family deeply and had the gift of music, laughter and valued his Irish heritage. His love of horses brought him much enjoyment. He always brought a smile to everyone's face with his endless array of jokes, story telling and wonderful voice raised in an Irish Tune. We will miss you Dad and you will always be in our hearts. Thank you to the staff of St. Joseph's at Fleming for your care and compassion.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015. Funeral Mass in SACRED HEART CHURCH on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow in Sacred Heart Parish Hall. A private family interment will be held at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, Ennismore. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
