MacDONALD, James Phillip (Phil)

Passed away peacefully at the age of 68, on Sunday, November 23, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Joanne Guerin. Adored by daughters Kellie (Ray Howran), and Karla (Ian MacAlpine). Pre-deceased by his only son Michael MacDonald. Papa will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Ray Jr., Matt, Brandon, Kori-Lynn and Samantha. Loving son of the late Frank and Jennie MacDonald, son-in-law of the late Jim and Nina Guerin. Brother to Ila Reid, Jean and Ken Fenwick, and the late Dow MacDonald. Brother-in-law to Teresa Johnson and the late Joe, Donna Dalliday (Gary), Jimmie Guerin (Jeannie) and Peter Guerin. Phil will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed by Josie, his many GM and Havelock Jamboree buddies, and especially his close friend Elaine Swistun.

At Phil's request, a private family service will take place. A celebration of Phil's life will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1550 Lansdowne Street W. from 1-4 p.m. If desired, donations can be made to Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care through DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME with whom the arrangements have been entrusted.
