Peacefully, at Trillium Health Center in Mississauga on Thursday, December 15, 2011, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Andree (Nee Armstrong) for 65 years. Loving father of Louise, Walter, Maureen, Kerry, Tammie, and Brian. Dear grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Mary (Mac) Johnson, predeceased by his brothers Walter, George, Richard. Dear brother-in-law of Margery Powell, Dorothy Powell, Gerry (late wife Kitty), Donald (Helen) Armstrong, Eleanor (late husband Bob) Armstrong, and Myrtle (late husband Edward) Armstrong, as well as the late Eunice and Joe Weir and Emile (wife Wren) Armstrong. Son of the late Walter Rees Powell and Edna May Boyer.
