SULLIVAN, Reverend Monsignor Gerard Francis

Peacefully at Rubidge Retirement Residence, on Monday, July 7, 2014 in his 93rd year. Beloved brother of Madelyn Leahy (late Bob), Joseph (Ella) Sullivan all of Peterborough, John Sullivan (late Anne) of Oshawa, and Teresa Pala (late Joe) of Oshawa Dear brother-in-law of Lionel Johnson of Peterborough. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews and their families. Pre-deceased by his parents John Sullivan and Josephine O'Brien, brothers Cletus (late Marguerite), Bernard (late Eva) and sister Marie Johnson. Monsignor Sullivan was ordained priest on May 31, 1947 at the Cathedral of St. Peter-in-Chains and served as Associate Pastor at Sacred Heart Parish, Peterborough and St. Joseph's Bracebridge, and was Pastor at St. Jerome's Warkworth, St. Alphonsus Wooler, Holy Family Britt, St. Mary's Lindsay, St. Joseph's Bracebridge and retired to St. Joseph's Douro.

Monsignor Sullivan will lie in state at the CATHEDRAL OF ST. PETER-IN-CHAINS from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014. (Prayers for the Office of the Dead at 7 p.m. Thursday).
