GREENAN, Reverend Father James A.


After a brief illness, at Scarborough Hospital on September 11, 2008. Son of the late Anastasia and Peter Greenan, Lindsay. Survived by brother John Greenan of Edmonton and sisters Katherine ( late Joseph) Doyle of Toronto, Berenice (Bunny) and her husband Kevin Leahy of Douro, and Camille and her husband Lorne Waywell of Toronto. Predeceased by his brother Joseph Greenan, and sisters Mary Lynch (Frank), Gertrude Greenan, Eileen Kirley (Simon) and Alice Kelly (George). Ordained May 18, 1940 at Cathedral of St. Peter-In-Chains, Peterborough. Served in several parishes throughout the Peterborough Diocese.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South, Peterborough, (705) 745-4612 on Sunday, September 14 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. (Parish Prayers 7 p.m.). Then visitation in the Cathedral of St. Peter-in-Chains, 310 Hunter Street West, Peterborough, from 1:15 p.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2008. Reverend Raymond Rick officiating. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery.
