Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday, May 27, 2010, the day before her 91st birthday. Beloved wife of the late Dorion Edward LaPlante (September 23, 1977). Loving mother of Beth (Fred) Elmhirst, John (Sheila) deLaPlante, Paul (Lynda) LaPlante, and Denise deLaPlante (Stephan Nesrallah). Dear grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Pre-deceased by her parents Alphonse Shannon and Mary Louise Sullivan, brother John Shannon, and sisters Anna Henderson and Joan Bourne.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday. (Parish Prayers 7:45 p.m. Monday). Funeral Mass in OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH, OTONABEE on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. Reverend David West officiating. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery.
