Peacefully at St. Joseph's at Fleming on Monday, November 24, 2008 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Helen Patricia Gooley of Otonabee for 61 years. Loving father of Diane McIntyre, Bev (Jim) Gooley, Pat Johnson, Mary Ellen (Frank) Barry, Lorrie (Alan) Wilson, Bob, Bill and Jim Garvey. Dear grandfather of 12 grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all his great grandchildren. Dear brother of Sister Lucille Garvey and Olive Garvey. Pre-deceased by his parents William Garvey and Mary Agnes O'Brien, sisters Hilda Cleary, Zita Primeau, Sister Mary Agnes Garvey, Philomene Gooley and Teresa Drumm, brothers Clem, Joseph and Leo Garvey, son-in-laws Jack Johnson and Malcolm McIntyre and grandson Johnny Johnson.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. (Parish Prayers 3:45 p.m. Thursday) Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 10 a.m. Reverend David West officiating. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Douro. Donations to St. Joseph's at Fleming (Woodland "E") would be appreciated by the family.
