O'KEEFE, Robert Thomas (Bob) (Former Ambulance Dispatcher, Member of the Peterborough Amateur Radio Club)

Peacefully at PRHC with family by his side, on Friday, September 7, 2018 in his 60th year. Beloved son of Dominic O'Keefe and the late Doreen Shaughnessy. Loving brother of Jim O'Keefe and wife Diane of Peterborough and Anne Berger and husband Tom of Ladner, B.C. Dear Uncle Bobby of Mary and Brian Berger. Dear nephew of Al Shaughnessy, Eileen McTeague and Marilyn Sullivan. Greatly missed by Murray Wilson who went above and beyond with his friendship over the years.  Fondly remembered by many friends and cousins.

Bob dedicated countless hours volunteering at the Peterborough Public Library, Brain Injury Association, Community Care, MS Annual Walk and Kawartha Participation Projects.

Among Bob's favourite pastimes were reading a PPL book beside Lock 20, meeting friends at coffee shops, attending Musicfest and the PSO as well as weekly trips to the movies.

Bob's sense of humour and perseverance while courageously battling Multiple Sclerosis for more than 40 years will remain an inspiration to us all.

A Memorial Reception will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 1 - 4 p.m. at PETERBOROUGH GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB, 1030 Armour Road, Peterborough with a Eulogy at 3 p.m. In memory of Bob, donations to Peterborough Musicfest, Peterborough Symphony Orchestra, MS-Peterborough Chapter or JDRF would be appreciated.
