YOUNG, Robert Emmett

Entered into rest peacefully, surrounded by his family at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Rogers Street Site, Palliative Care on Sunday January 20, 2008. Robert Young, age 77 years of Ennismore, Ontario was the beloved husband Eleanor Young (nee Crough) for more than 52 years. Loving father of Ilene (Dave) Brioux, Sara (Leigh) Marshall, Lenore (Neil) Allen, Robert (Julie) Young, Carl (Kathryn) Young, Don (Stephanie) Young. Beloved Papa of John (Tracey), Liz, Kate, Paul (Erin), Laura, Patti, Jason, Josh, Jeremy, Joe, Amber, James, Charlene, Emmett, Ethan, Elyse, Olivia, Claudia, Ava, Siera, Dane and Mason. Pre-deceased by granddaughter Julie-Lynn. Robert was the son of the late John F. Young and Zita O'Donoghue and loving brother of Jean Winn (Steve and Owen both pre-deceased), Madeline Cadigan (Bob), Fergus (Verda), Patrick (Bonnie), Irene Grills (Roy), John (Helen), and sister-in-law Zita. Robert will be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Pre-deceased by brothers Joseph and William (Ann).

Friends will be received at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 1-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday January 23rd and Thursday January 24th. (Parish Prayers 5 p.m. Thursday). Funeral Mass at St. Martin of Tours Church, Ennismore on Friday January 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. Reverend Damian Smullen officiating. Interment St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, Ennismore. If desired and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PRHC, Palliative Care or PRHC, Oncology Unit.
